What do we do for the environment?
We are an eco-conscious complex.
Electricity and water are very expensive in Aruba; to prevent waste, ‘normal’ consumption is included in the price per apartment: 20 kWh/day and 1 m³/day of water. This is more than sufficient for ‘normal consumption’. Meter readings are taken at the beginning of the stay. Additional charges will apply for excessive use. The complex is built sustainably; to give an example, we use solar energy and a saltwater pool.

Damage
According to the law, the tenant is liable for all damage that can be attributed to the tenant. The property is inspected before and after the check-in/check-out stay. We do this by making video recordings of the condition of the property; the inventory is also inspected. In addition, meter readings / consumption are recorded.

Where can I find the availability?

Via the booking button on our website, where you are currently located.

Is the building eco-friendly?

The building is fully electric. We do not use gas. The electricity is generated by over 70 solar panels.
The swimming pool does not use harmful chemicals. It is a saltwater pool. The salt, combined with a professional filter system, ensures water that is gentle on the skin, does not cause red eyes, and is better for the environment.

Where are the Aruba COCO apartments located?

Aruba Coco is located in the popular Hato neighborhood. It is a 5-minute drive from the most famous Eagle Beach. Just a few minutes from Oranjestad. Around the corner from the largest supermarket, Superfood. Our location is truly unique; the exact address will be revealed after booking.

How safe is the neighborhood / area of Aruba Coco?

Aruba Coco is located in a safe neighborhood; additionally, we use security cameras. Security is also present on the premises. Aruba is considered one of the safest islands in the world.

Can I come in at any time?

Absolutely, your key gives access to your apartment.

Prices vary on different platforms; how is this possible?

On various platforms such as Airbnb, Vrbo, and Micazu, both you and we pay a certain percentage to the platform. Since these percentages vary, the nightly price will be proportional. Therefore, it is most economical to book directly with us via the website.

Can I get a discount?

We stand behind our prices. Naturally, we are happy to work with you to find a solution for a longer stay.

Do I get a discount on a next booking?

Absolutely, we greatly appreciate every guest and will be more than grateful to welcome you again.

Are long-term stays an option?

This is upon request, bearing in mind that prices will be pro rata. However, we have already been able to accommodate multiple requests for winter residents / retirees. We do not fall under a student price category.

Can I park there?

You have a private parking space with your apartment.

Is there a possibility to electrically charge my car?

Is it suitable for people with disabilities?

Yes. There is an elevator, the apartment is on the ground floor, and the swimming pool is wheelchair accessible.

Is there a swimming pool?

Shared saltwater swimming pool of 100 m².

Can my pet come along?

Is there a shop within walking distance?

Yes, there is a supermarket around the corner. The largest supermarket on the island, Superfood, is also located just a few minutes’ drive away.

Is there a restaurant within walking distance?

Yes, you will find all this information in our comprehensive holiday guide, which you will receive from us two weeks before the start of your trip.

Distance to/from airport?

10 minutes by car. 5.9 km.

Is there a balcony / terrace?

All apartments have an outdoor living area. Depending on the chosen accommodation, this is either a balcony or a private terrace. In addition, there are plenty of palapas throughout the grounds where you can relax and unwind.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Certainly both in the apartment and by the pool.

How and when can I pay?

Via the website, where our terms and conditions can also be found.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is possible from 16:00. Check-out takes place no later than 11:00.

Can I check in or out earlier?

This may potentially be granted at the last minute in consultation. Our accommodations can be booked at the last minute, therefore this is not a guarantee. If you wish to be certain, there will be associated costs. You will receive written confirmation of this.

Is a Property Manager present/available?

Yes, you will receive information about this in the travel guide. The property manager is easily reachable via WhatsApp.

How do I receive the key to the accommodation?

Via the Property Manager upon arrival or via the key safe; we will then come to introduce ourselves at a later time.

Are there beach chairs in the apartment for the beach?

Yes, 4 pieces per apartment.

Are there beach towels available for the beach?

Yes, 1 per person.

Is there a cool box available?

Yes

Is the complex and apartment child-friendly?

Yes, children are more than welcome.

What is available for children?

There are nice packages you can book so that you can travel completely worry-free. You can find this baby and/or child package under our services.

Can a car rental be arranged for me?

We definitely have a good company that we recommend.

Is it advisable to rent a car?

Yes. Although the complex is centrally located, the sights on the island are not within walking distance.
The infrastructure is designed for doing everything by car.
There are plenty of taxis on the island; however, during a stay, the costs will quickly add up and exceed the cost of a rental car.
For example, cycling is becoming increasingly popular; however, there are still many sections without dedicated bike paths, so one must cycle on the road.

Is there a pick-up and drop-off service to and from the airport?

What are the taxi costs to the accommodation?

Based on a standard passenger car, but depending on the number of suitcases, you will pay approximately $30. The costs can be paid in cash or by card.

Is it wise to take out travel and/or cancellation insurance?

We recommend that you take out travel and cancellation insurance for every trip, anywhere, at all times.

What if we are missing something in the apartment or something breaks?

We ask you to contact us in an accessible way. Everything can be resolved through communication. We take feedback very seriously; that is the only way we can learn! We learn from your experience.

Am I allowed to host a party in or around the apartment/complex?

No, this is strictly forbidden.

May I receive visitors?

It is not permitted to invite people to our accommodation who are not registered as our guests. This is enforced.

Is there a grill station available by the pool for general use?

Absolutely, you can use the gas barbecue for free. You can easily reserve it with the Property Manager.

What inventory will I find in the apartment?

All our apartments are fully equipped with all necessities. You can find the exact inventory and layout on this website under the heading of your chosen apartment.

What additional costs can I expect and what are they for?

There are no separate costs associated with the apartment. However, because electricity and water are very expensive in Aruba, and we wish to prevent waste, guests are expected to use the air conditioning, water, and electricity responsibly. We can accurately monitor consumption based on separate meters for each apartment. 20 kWh per day is included in the apartment rental. This constitutes normal consumption. For additional consumption, €0.50/kWh will be deducted from the deposit.

Aruba proposes a tourist tax and an environment tax as of 2024.

Is cash accepted for rental payments?

However, by mutual agreement, a down payment via bank transfer will be requested.

Is smoking allowed in the apartment or on the premises?

Only on the balconies and outside the complex.

What is the mains voltage?

120 Volts, the sockets are American. Please remember to bring a travel adapter.

Yes, there are permanent residents, but the complex is largely rentals.
